3.1 Before you apply

1. Is there any minimum requirement for application of IWM courses? 

 

For Italian Wine Maestro, there are no prerequisites for entry but we strong suggest you hold at least WSET Level 2 in Wine, Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW), Certified Sommelier (CMS) or equivalent level of qualification.  

 

2. How many wines can I taste in IWM?

 

Over 50 special wines to be tasted 

 

3. What are the difference between the certificate of WSET and IWM?

 

Italian Wine Maestro certificate issued by Vinitaly International Academy (VIA). This intermediate certification course is taught by Italian Wine Educators, it offers a unique understanding of Italian native grapes and serves as the stepping stone to the Italian Wine Ambassador certification course. 

WSET is a global organisation which arranges courses and exams in the field of wine and spirits. WSET is headquartered in London[2] and is generally regarded as one of the world’s leading providers of wine education.  

 

4. How many lessons for IWM?

 

We offer 8 lessons with 3 hours for each lesson.
